How to connect Hostaway

Create an API key in Hostaway
In Hostaway, go to Settings → Integrations → API Keys. Copy your Account ID from the top of that page, then click Generate API Key and copy the key right away because Hostaway shows it only once.

Connect Hostaway in inkSTR
Go to Account Settings → PMS Connections, expand Hostaway, and paste the Account ID and API key. PMS integrations, including Hostaway, are a Scale-plan feature.

Import your properties and photos
From your project’s Settings → Properties, pick the Hostaway listings you want and click Import. Photos import into the Image Library in the background, or you can run the import yourself from the Image Library tab.

Pull guest insights into your strategy
In the Strategy Wizard, click Pull from PMS to bring guest review themes and guest-message questions into your keyword research and writing instructions.
Hostaway supports only the client credentials method, so there is no one-click authorization screen for Hostaway. The Account ID and API key are the connection.
Questions about the integration
In Hostaway, go to Settings → Integrations → API Keys, copy your Account ID, and generate an API key. Then go to Account Settings → PMS Connections in inkSTR, expand Hostaway, and paste both. There is no one-click option because Hostaway supports only the client credentials method.
PMS integrations, including Hostaway, are included on the Scale plan.
No. InkSTR only reads your listings, photos, reviews, and guest messages. It never writes back to Hostaway, and it never books, messages guests, or edits anything in your account.
Those listings have no photos in Hostaway, or Hostaway did not return any for them. After an import, inkSTR names each property that came back with no photos, so you can add photos in Hostaway and import again.
No, but it makes your content sharper. Without it, inkSTR still runs full keyword research and content generation; connecting Hostaway adds your real listing and guest data on top.
