Methodology

  • First-party benchmarks are computed from booking and review data in property management systems (Hospitable, OwnerRez, Hostaway) connected to inkSTR client projects. We report medians and the middle-half range (25th–75th percentile), never averages skewed by outliers.
  • Privacy floor: a benchmark bucket is only published when at least 5 distinct portfolios contribute to it, and we never publish portfolio sizes or absolute revenue figures.
  • External statistics are gathered with their original source, verified against the source page, and human-reviewed before appearing here. Each is dated; stats older than two years are retired.
  • Benchmarks are recomputed quarterly.
