Case Study · 3 months
How a Charlotte & Lake Norman STR management company with a 50-plus-property portfolio started InkSTR at the end of April 2026 and had four property-owner leads arrive from AI search within its first month — while Google impressions climbed to 4.6x their year-ago level. Measured in Google Search Console and their own lead records.
Hockey Stick SEO
Clicks and impressions from Google Search Console across the engagement. The trend line speaks for itself.

MyTripify manages a 50-plus-property short-term rental portfolio across Charlotte and Lake Norman. Its Search Console history stretches back more than a year before InkSTR: in May 2025 the site drew 64 clicks and 2,495 impressions a month, and it was barely visible for the searches that bring a management company new owners — management fees, what a manager actually does, whether to self-manage or hire.
The program started at the end of April 2026. Over the next three months, 89 owner-focused articles went live — management fees, short-term rental regulations, revenue expectations, hire-or-self-manage decisions — built pillar-and-cluster across 13 markets in the region. Each article grounded real data from 17 managed properties and their guest reviews, was structured answer-first with TL;DR and FAQ blocks so both Google and AI assistants could cite it, and was auto-published to their AI-built site via API.
The leads came first, and from the newest channel there is: four property-owner inquiries arrived through AI search in the first month alone — owners who asked an AI assistant about vacation rental management and were pointed to MyTripify, because the content was structured to be cited. By July 2026, Google impressions had climbed to 11,440 a month, 4.6x the year before, with the site ranking for 447 keywords and clicks up to 103. Owner-acquisition SEO keeps click counts small by nature — there are far fewer property owners than travelers — so the scoreboard that matters is leads, and it moved in month one.
The playbook
These numbers come from one management company over a three-month window, measured in Google Search Console and their own lead records rather than third-party estimates. The playbook — owner-intent pillar content, real portfolio data, AI-search-ready structure, consistent publishing — is the same one we ship to every InkSTR customer from day one.
